COLLECTIBLE CARD GAME Pre-Orders (e.g. Pokémon, MTG, Riftbound, Lorcana, Gundam): The pre-order cutoff date for upcoming sets is now ONE WEEK before the products go on sale in our store. Please note that the on-sale date is NOT always the same as the official release date; for certain products it will be the PRERELEASE date. Please ask at the store if you are not certain of the pre-order cutoff date for a specific product. We are also limiting pre-orders to one of each type of item (e.g. 1 play booster box, 1 of each Commander deck, 1 collector booster box, 1 of each Elite Trainer Box), and we will not be able to sell full booster boxes of Pokémon packs. 

 

PRE-ORDERS: 

You can place a pre-order at any time after the official product announcement and before an item is released. (See note above for CCG pre-order cutoff dates.) Pokémon pre-order tags MUST use the English name of the set. Tags using the Japanese name of the set will not be filled. You pay nothing upfront and are under no obligation to purchase the item when it comes in. Most pre-order RPG, board game, and miniatures that are requested at least a week before the release date of the item qualify for a 10% pre-order discount. (Some exceptions apply.) We fill requests in the order they were received, and are not always able to order as many items as there are requests, so put in order tags early for hot items!

You must be SPECIFIC when requesting items. For example, a request for “One Pokémon: Black Bolt ETB” will be honored. A request for “New Pokémon ETB” will not.

When we receive the item, we will reserve it for you and contact you. We can hold items for up to 7 days after you have been contacted. If you need an extension (because of travel plans, etc.), please call your store (Ames: (515) 292-3510 or Des Moines: (515) 271-8104) and let us know.

HOLD TAGS:

If we are currently out of stock of an item and you would like one when it becomes available, or you would like an in-stock item held for you, or you would like to make a special order, the process is the same as a pre-order. You pay nothing upfront and are under no obligation to purchase the item when it comes in. There is no discount for items that have already been released. We cannot guarantee that the item you request will be available.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT HOLD TAGS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

We do not hold single cards for CCGs (MTG, Pokémon, Lorcana, etc.).

We do not accept hold tags for CCGs (MTG, Pokémon, Lorcana, etc.) after the pre-order cutoff date.

We do not hold clearance items.
